The Greater Atlantic Cancer Fund hosts the annual Greater Atlantic Bluefish Tournament. The GABT is a competitive, popular event with a significant and loyal following of local and regional fishing enthusiasts. The tournament and its associated events engages anglers from all walks of life in an enjoyable, worthwhile fundraising campaign to aid our friends and neighbors in the fight against cancer and catastrophic illnesses.
The GACF (and GABT) Board of Trustees and committees are comprised of all volunteers. We are a registered Non-Profit 501 (c) (3) organization with no paid workers. Funds for the organization are derived primarily through individual and corporate contributions, as well as entry fees from the tournament. All donations are tax deductible.
This is our 27th year for the tournament. We are committed to continue, “Neighbors helping Neighbors” throughout southern New Jersey. Since we became a non- profit organization 9 years ago, we have helped more than 210 families from seven southern New Jersey counties. We have given grants ranging from $250 to $2000 to help families who are battling cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.
Sponsorships, contributions, program book ads, and entry fees have afforded us the ability to raise over half a million dollars over the past 25 years. These funds have provided prescription drugs, payment of utility bills, transportation costs, guaranteed hospital payments and purchased groceries for our neighbors who are facing conditions that they never imagined possible.
The GACF/GABT has 4 levels of sponsorship. All sponsors appear on our tournament tide charts as well as the following:
- Platinum Sponsors (greater than $1000) are included in ALL publicity generated by the GACF/GABT with a special mention full-page ad in the Program Book, a link from the GACF and GABT websites to their website, they receive Six Tournament T shirts and Six Sponsor appreciation night tickets.
- Gold Sponsors ($1000) are included in ALL publicity generated by the GACF/GABT including a full-page ad in the Sponsorship Book, a link from the GACF and GABT websites to their website, Six Tournament T shirts and Six Sponsor appreciation night tickets.
- Silver Sponsors ($500) receive a ½ page ad in the Program Book, Four Tournament T shirts and Four Sponsor appreciation night tickets.
- Bronze Sponsors ($250) receive a ¼ page ad in the Program Book, Two Tournament T shirts and Two Sponsor appreciation night tickets.
Sometimes folks who are waging their own war against cancer and other catastrophic illnesses come to the reality that there is no way to continue because of financial restraints. The volunteers of the GACF try our best not to let finances take away our friends and neighbors self esteem. Please try to help in any way you see fit and for more information contact the GACF through our contact form.
The GACF appreciates and welcomes all financial and material support no matter what amount.
